At the Ninth Plenary Meeting of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC22 on September 23-27, 1996, SC22 invited the United States National Body to submit the M (UMPS) Standards for Fast-track approval as the revision of ISO/IEC 11756:1992. These standards were approved by the American National Standards Institute. The Mumps Developing Committee (MDC) has assigned Ms. Kate Schell as project editor. A request for comments on the appropriateness of the submission of these standards for Fast-Track processing in JTC 1 will be placed in "Standards Action" April 11, 1997 through May 10, 1997.
